As a community-driven metaverse, we have long believed that players should have a presence in the NFT Outpost in some shape or form. And now, thanks to the addition of a Community tab, they do.
Already packed with fun NFTs that can be used throughout Alien Worlds, the Outpost experience has been taken to a whole new level, as artists and other talented community members can start playing an active role in molding the metaverse.
Over the past couple weeks, the Community section of the NFT Outpost went live and the tab now displays a broad range of exclusively user-generated Alien Worlds NFT art, from reptiloids and aliens to colorful planetary landscapes, symbols, and mining stations.
As with existing tools and avatars, Explorers can redeem their NFT points for the new collectible art works for as long as supplies last. The freshly-minted commemorative Alien Worlds lore NFTs represent labors of love from artists in the Alien Worlds ecosystem, giving contributors the opportunity to unleash their creativity and shape the future with their own ideas.
Community NFTs comprise:
- 7 works based on the planets and their lore by Flora Aldrich (Basic Common versions and animated Epic versions)
- 1 Legendary Veles lore NFT by Jawdane3d
- 1 Legendary TLM artifact by The Cheesman
- 1 Magor mining station NFT by Vertex Monster (Rare, Legendary and Mythical versions, though the latter has now sold out)
Community-crafted NFTs are a welcome addition to the Outpost, offering something new and unique yet continuing to reflect the decentralized ethos at the heart of Alien Worlds. Opening up new avenues for artists and creators to participate is a win for everyone: Explorers designing and listing their own creations in the Outpost paves the way for a more immersive, diverse, and ultimately rewarding metaverse.
While the feature is tested, new submissions will not be accepted – though a submission process will soon be made available.
