The first few months of 2025 have seen the Alien Worlds metaverse continue to grow, powered by an increasingly diverse set of community-driven games and projects. As players and developers build new experiences across platforms, one thing remains central: tournaments.
Tournaments have become the heartbeat of gameplay in the Alien Worlds ecosystem rewarding active participation, deepening engagement, and turning in-game skill into meaningful rewards.
Since the beginning of the year, over 1 million Trilium has been distributed to players through competitive tournaments in games like Milky Way Miner, Battlefleet Armageddon, Mercenary Battlegrounds, Outlaw Troopers, Meta Battler, and AlienHelpers.
To support this growth, a Tournament Smart Contract will be launching in Q2 2025, offering powerful new infrastructure for both Web2 and Web3 games. This will allow developers to distribute Trilium rewards by streamlining the reward process and scaling support across more games and communities.
By lowering the barrier to entry, this system will allow developers to plug into Alien Worlds’ economy quickly, while offering players real, on-chain incentives that connect their favorite games to the broader metaverse.
Developers active in the Arena continue to receive bi-monthly stipends, supporting long-term commitment across genres from shooters to roguelikes to auto-battlers.
