Explorers, the eagle eyed among you may have noticed CoinMarketCap have updated their data on our token (TLM) total and circulating supply numbers.
The key thing to note here is that this data has always been available to blockchain data platforms like CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko, however they have not, until recently, been using our official API to attain the latest TLM circulating and total supply metrics (max supply is, of course, immutable and will never change at 10 billion).
Our token allocation and supply numbers have always been made available, for example in April 2021 Binance Research produced an extensive report which can be found https://research.binance.com/en/projects/alien-worlds. The token release schedule in that report remains accurate and unchanged.
Now CoinMarketCap is displaying / distributing the correct figures, you will see that they are completely aligned with everything that we have previously published (in our Technical Blueprint) and set out to do.
Key takeaways are that there is:
- No change to actual supply in the market, just to the numbers the data sites are showing
- No change to inflation, max supply, or anything previously published by us for example there is no change to any vesting or unlock schedules
