The new Tokenized Lore voting rewards system rewards Explorers who actively use their Vote Power to vote on lore proposals. Staking Trilium allows Vote Power to accumulate, but staking alone does not qualify you for rewards. You must cast votes and commit Vote Power to proposals.
Tokenized Lore was created to give the community a direct role in deciding what becomes part of the official canon. Players can review proposed additions, use their Vote Power to support or reject them, and collectively determine how the metaverse expands.
With voting rewards now live, active participation also gives voters a proportional share of Trilium added to the Tokenized Lore reward pot.
How Tokenized Lore Voting Rewards Work
Begin the process by staking Trilium. While your Trilium remains staked, you continuously accumulate Vote Power that can be used on lore proposals.
At the current default rate, every 10,000 Trilium staked generates 144 Vote Power per day.
Once you cast a vote, the Vote Power you spend becomes committed to that proposal and begins participating in the rewards system.
The key distinction is that:
- Staking Trilium generates Vote Power.
- Using that Vote Power to vote qualifies you for rewards.
- Holding unused Vote Power does not provide a share of the reward pot.
Your Reward Share Is Based on Committed Vote Power
Whenever Trilium is added to the reward pot, it is distributed proportionally among voters based on the amount of Vote Power they have committed.
The more Vote Power you have committed relative to the total amount participating, the larger your share of that pot fill.
Rewards are not retroactive. If Trilium is added to the pot before you cast your vote, you do not receive a share of that earlier distribution. Your committed Vote Power begins participating in reward distributions that occur after you vote.
Voting on More Proposals Increases Your Participation
Vote Power committed across multiple proposals is combined when calculating your share of future reward pot fills.
If you commit 3 VP to one proposal and later commit another 2 VP to a second proposal, you now have 5 VP participating in future distributions.
Committed Vote Power also remains part of your participating total after a proposal ends. Whether a proposal passes, fails, expires, or is cancelled does not remove the Vote Power you committed from the rewards calculation.
The outcome of a proposal therefore does not determine your reward. What matters is that you participated by casting a vote and committing Vote Power.
Meanwhile, your staked Trilium continues generating new Vote Power that you can use on future proposals.
Claim Your Trilium Rewards
Rewards accumulate until you choose to claim them. When you claim, the Trilium currently credited to your account is transferred to you and your accrued reward balance resets. Claiming does not remove the Vote Power you have already committed, so that Vote Power remains eligible for subsequent reward pot fills. There is no deadline to claim accumulated rewards.
The Reward Pot
Anyone can contribute Trilium to the Tokenized Lore reward pot. When the pot is added to, the deposited Trilium is allocated proportionally to eligible voters based on their committed Vote Power.
There is no admin fee or protocol cut from a pot contribution. The full amount is used for voting rewards.
Stake, Vote, and Help Decide What Becomes Canon
Tokenized Lore has already given Explorers a direct role in deciding which community-created stories become part of the official canon. The Lore DAO launched in January 2025, with players staking Trilium and using Vote Power to decide the fate of submitted lore.
Voting rewards add another reason to take part. Stake Trilium to build Vote Power, review the latest lore proposals, and commit your Vote Power to the stories you believe should become canon.
