Worker Proposal UI Guide

Introduction to Alienops UI

The Alienops UI is the new interface designed for the Alien Worlds Worker Proposal System. It serves as a bridge between Workers, Union DAO Custodians, and Arbiters, making the process of proposal submission, review, and execution seamless. The UI also allows all players to follow the progress of current proposals, with clear status indicators.

To get started, simply log in using your personal WAX or Anchor account and verify your identity if you haven't already. Once logged in, you'll have access to the features described below, including creating proposals and monitoring the status of existing ones.

Creating a Proposal

To create a proposal, follow these steps:

  • Log In: Use your WAX or Anchor account and verify your identity.
  • Click "Create Proposal": This button is located in the top-right corner of the UI.
  • Fill in Required Fields: Include project details, specifications, the desired amount of Trilium (TLM), and the Arbiter reward.
  • Submit: Click the "Submit" button to finalize your proposal. If successful, a confirmation message will appear, and your proposal will be listed in the relevant DAO's proposal list.

Understanding Proposal Statuses

The Alienops UI provides a clear view of proposal statuses, making it easy for all players to track progress. Below are the status types and what they mean:

1. All Proposals

  • What It Means: This view displays every proposal, regardless of its status.
  • Purpose: Use this filter to see an overview of all activity in the Worker Proposal System.

2. Voting

  • What It Means: Proposals that are awaiting votes from Union DAO Custodians.
  • How It Works: After a proposal is submitted, it moves to the Voting stage, where Custodians must vote "Yes" or "No" to determine if the proposal should proceed.
  • Next Step: If a proposal receives enough votes in favor, it moves to the "In Progress" status.

3. In Progress

  • What It Means: Approved proposals that are currently being executed by the Worker.
  • How It Works: Once approved, the Worker can start the project by selecting the "Start Work" button on their proposal. The status then updates to "In Progress."
  • Next Step: Upon completion, the Worker can mark the project as "Completed."

4. Finalizing

  • What It Means: Proposals that have been completed by the Worker and are awaiting Custodian approval.
  • How It Works: After a Worker marks their proposal as "Completed," Custodians must review the work and vote to approve the final output.
  • Next Step: If approved, the funds are released to the Worker, and the status updates to "Completed."

5. Completed

  • What It Means: Proposals that have been fully approved, and all required funds have been disbursed to the Worker.
  • Purpose: This status indicates successful completion of a project, with all deliverables met.

6. In Dispute

  • What It Means: Proposals where disputes have arisen between the Worker and the Union DAO Custodians.
  • How It Works: If a proposal is marked as "Completed" but rejected by the Custodians, the Worker may appeal the decision, shifting the proposal into "In Dispute" status. Arbiters may then be called in to resolve the dispute.
  • Next Step: Arbiters review the dispute and decide whether to uphold or overrule the rejection.

7. Rejected

  • What It Means: Proposals that have been voted down during the initial approval process or rejected during finalization.
  • How It Works: If a proposal fails to get enough votes from Custodians or is rejected during review, it is moved to "Rejected" status. Workers may adjust and resubmit their proposal if desired.

8. Expired

  • What It Means: Proposals that were not acted upon within the specified time frame.
  • How It Works: If Custodians do not vote on a proposal within the allotted time, it moves to the "Expired" status. Workers may need to resubmit or adjust their proposal to re-enter the process.

The Alienops UI is designed to make it easier for players, Custodians, and Arbiters to interact with the Worker Proposal System. By following these steps and understanding the different statuses, you can seamlessly participate in the governance of Alien Worlds, whether as a Worker proposing new projects, a Custodian voting on proposals, or an Arbiter ensuring fairness. Begin staking and voting today and good luck in the new Union DAO system!
